Aradhya meaning
Aradhya (आराध्या) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
To be worshipped; to be propitiated
Aradhya (आराध्या) is the feminine of Sanskrit ārādhya, a gerundive of ā-rādh, "to please, to propitiate, to worship". Monier-Williams gives three senses: to be made favourable or propitiated, to be worshipped, and to be accomplished, citing works such as the Kathāsaritsāgara and the Pañcatantra. As a name it means "she who is to be worshipped" or simply "worshipped", which is also the meaning name lists give. The same root gives ārādhanā, worship or propitiation, and the related name Aradhana. In Hindi the word is used for whatever, or whoever, a person reveres most, such as a chosen deity. The name is also spelled Aaradhya.
