Tushti meaning
Tushti (तुष्टि) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Satisfaction, contentment
Tushti (तुष्टि) is Sanskrit tuṣṭi, from the root tuṣ, "to be pleased, to be content". Monier-Williams gives it as "satisfaction, contentment", and notes that Sāṃkhya philosophy counts nine kinds of tuṣṭi. In the Purāṇas Tuṣṭi is personified as a daughter of Dakṣa and the mother of Santoṣa, "contentment"; she also appears as a Mātṛkā and a Śakti, and as one of the digits of the moon. Name lists give Tushti as "contentment" or "satisfaction", which matches the dictionary.
