Reva meaning
Reva (रेवा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, रे, it is a Tula rashi name (Swati nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
The Narmada river; also a name of Rati, wife of Kamadeva
Also used to mean: one who moves
Reva (रेवा) is a Sanskrit name for the Narmadā, the river that rises at Amarakaṇṭaka in the Vindhya hills and flows west for about 800 miles to the sea below Bharuch. Monier-Williams also lists Revā as a name of Rati, the wife of Kāmadeva, as a rāga in music, and as the indigo plant. Name lists give Reva as "the Narmada river", and some add "one who moves". The Narmada is one of the holy rivers of India, and Rewa is another spelling, and Reeva is a modern variant.
