Rishika (ऋषिका) is the Sanskrit feminine ṛṣikā, built on ṛṣi, the inspired poet or sage who invokes the gods in sacred verse. Monier-Williams gives two senses for the feminine: the wife of a lesser Ṛṣi, and the name of a river mentioned in the Mahabharata and the Vishnu Purana. Baby-name lists today usually explain Rishika as "saintly" or "a female sage". That reading follows naturally from ṛṣi, but the dictionary does not define the feminine that way, so we show it as the popular meaning. Marathi speakers often spell the name Rushika.
