The rose
Roja (ரோஜா) is the Tamil word for the rose. The Tamil Lexicon of the University of Madras records rōjā and traces it, through European contact, to Latin rosa. As a girls' name it is the South Indian counterpart of Rose, and it is the title of Mani Ratnam's 1992 film Roja and the name of the actress and politician Roja Selvamani. It is short, easy to say in any language and plainly means the flower.
