Malarvizhi meaning
Malarvizhi (மலர்விழி) is a Tamil girl's name.
Malar (flower) joined with viḻi (eye): one with flower-like eyes
Malarvizhi (மலர்விழி) joins malar, "flower", with viḻi, "eye". The Tamil Lexicon defines malar as a full-blown flower or blossom and viḻi as the eye or eyeball, adding a figurative sense of knowledge or wisdom. Comparing a woman's eyes to flowers, often the lotus or the blue water-lily, is an old convention of Tamil poetry, and the name follows the same pattern as Kayalvizhi, "fish-shaped eyes", and Poovizhi. It is used for girls in Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka.
