Akilandeswari meaning
Akilandeswari (அகிலாண்டேஸ்வரி) is a Tamil girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Tamil usage).
Goddess of the whole universe: akhila-āṇḍa "whole universe" + īśvarī "sovereign lady"
Also used to mean: goddess of the universe, ruler of all worlds
Akilandeswari (அகிலாண்டேஸ்வரி) is the goddess worshipped with Shiva at the Jambukeswarar temple in Thiruvanaikaval near Tiruchirappalli, a form of Parvati. The name joins Sanskrit akhila, "whole, complete", āṇḍa, the cosmic egg, and īśvarī, a sovereign lady or goddess. The Tamil Lexicon records akilāṇṭam as "the whole universe", and Monier-Williams gives īśvarī as mistress or queen and a name of Durgā or Lakṣmī. So the name means "goddess of the whole universe", as name lists say. It is a traditional name in the Tiruchirappalli region and among Tamil Shaiva families.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Parvati.
