Rupamoni meaning
Rupamoni (रूपमणि) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Assamese usage). By its first sound, रू, it is a Tula rashi name (Swati nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Compound of rūpa, 'form; beauty, loveliness', and maṇi, 'jewel'
Rupamoni (रूपमणि) is an Assamese girls' name made of two Sanskrit words. Rūpa means form or appearance and, in Monier-Williams' further senses, loveliness, grace and beauty; maṇi, Assamese moni, means a jewel or gem. Together they give "a jewel of beauty" or "beautiful jewel". The ending -moni is a feature of Assamese girls' names, seen also in Nayanmoni and Junmoni. Rupamoni Gorh, a mountaineer from Assam, is a recent bearer of the name.
