Akriti meaning
Akriti (आकृति) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Form, figure, shape; a well-formed shape
Akriti (आकृति) comes from Sanskrit ākṛti, which Monier-Williams defines as form, figure, shape, appearance and aspect, and also as "a well-formed shape". It is built from the root kṛ, "to make", so the word carries the idea of something given shape. In Hindi, ākṛti is the everyday word for a form or outline, and sculptors and architects use it for a finished figure. Name lists give the same meaning. The name is spelled Aakriti in much of North India and Aakruti in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
