Sachit meaning
Sachit (सचित) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Thoughtful, intelligent; (in one Rig Veda reading) of the same mind
Also used to mean: consciousness
Sachit (सचित) comes from Sanskrit sacit, sa-, "with", plus cit, "thought, consciousness". Monier-Williams gives it as thoughtful or intelligent, and notes a reading of a Rig Veda verse (10.64.7) in which it means of the same mind. On name lists Sachit is usually given as "consciousness", a close paraphrase of the dictionary sense. Some lists also give "joyful", which we could not find in the Sanskrit dictionaries. The name shares the root cit with Sachidanand.
