Saguna meaning
Saguna (सगुणा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Marathi usage).
Having qualities; virtuous; (of God) having attributes
Also used to mean: with qualities
Saguna (सगुणा) is the feminine of Sanskrit saguṇa, "with qualities". Monier-Williams gives it as having qualities, and especially having good qualities or virtues. In Marathi devotion the word has a special sense: Molesworth defines saguṇa as that which has attributes and perfections, said of God, and the Varkari saints sing of the saguṇa Vitthal, God with form, as against the nirguṇa absolute. Name lists give "virtuous" or "with qualities". Saguna is a traditional Marathi girls' name, and it is a different word from shagun, "omen".
