Sajjan meaning
Sajjan (सज्जन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Well-born, respectable, virtuous; a good or wise man
Also used to mean: gentleman, good man
Sajjan (सज्जन) is Sanskrit sajjana, from sat, "good, true", and jana, "person", the t blending into the j. Monier-Williams gives the adjective as well-born, respectable and virtuous, citing the Harivaṃśa, and the noun as a good, virtuous or wise man, as in Manu; it is also recorded as the name of various men. In Hindi and Punjabi sajjan is the everyday word for a gentleman, often set against its opposite, durjan, a wicked person. Name lists give Sajjan as "gentleman" or "good man". The name is used in Hindu and Sikh families.
