Sreerag meaning
Sreerag (श्रीराग) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Malayalam usage).
Śrī rāga, a particular rāga in music
Also used to mean: a musical raga
Sreerag (श्रीराग) is Sanskrit śrī-rāga, which Monier-Williams records as a particular raga in music. Shree is one of the oldest named ragas and survives in both Carnatic and Hindustani music; in the Carnatic tradition it is one of the five Ghana ragas, and Tyagaraja set the last of his Pancharatna kritis in it. As a boys' name Sreerag belongs mainly to Kerala, where it suits families who love music. The word rāga itself also means colour, feeling and delight.
