Suhaib meaning
Suhaib (صہیب) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Reddish- or fair-red-haired (diminutive from aṣhab)
Also used to mean: reddish-haired
Suhaib (صہیب) is the classical Arabic name Ṣuhayb, a diminutive built on the root ṣ-h-b, which describes a reddish colour of hair. Lane's lexicon defines ṣuhba as redness in the hair of the head and beard, and the adjective aṣhab as having hair of that colour, red mixed with white; Ṣuhayb is the diminutive pattern of such a word, roughly "the little fair-red one". Name lists accordingly give "reddish-haired". The name recalls Ṣuhayb ibn Sinan al-Rumi, a Companion of the Prophet who had grown up among the Byzantines.
