Suhrid meaning
Suhrid (सुहृद) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
'good-hearted', kind-hearted, well-disposed; a friend, ally
Also used to mean: good friend, well-wisher
Suhrid (सुहृद) is Sanskrit su-hṛd, from su, "good", and hṛd, "heart", so literally "good-hearted". Monier-Williams gives it as kind-hearted and well-disposed and, as a noun, a friend or ally, a word used in the Laws of Manu and the Mahabharata. In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna calls himself the suhṛd, the friend, of all beings. Name lists give Suhrid as "good friend" or "well-wisher", matching the dictionary. The abstract noun sauhārda, "friendship, goodwill", comes from the same word. Suhrit and Suhrud are other spellings.
