Nishkam meaning
Nishkam (निष्काम) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Desireless, disinterested, unselfish
Also used to mean: selfless, without desire
Nishkam (निष्काम) is Sanskrit niṣkāma, "without kāma", without desire. Monier-Williams gives it as desireless, disinterested and unselfish, a word found from the Shatapatha Brahmana and the law book of Manu onward. It is best known from niṣkāma karma, the teaching drawn from the Bhagavad Gita that one should act rightly without attachment to the fruits of action.
