Nishant meaning
Nishant (निशांत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Daybreak, the end of night; also tranquil, calm
Nishant (निशांत) is the Sanskrit niśānta, made of niśā, "night", and anta, "end". Monier-Williams gives it as daybreak, citing the law book of Manu. The same spelling also covers a different word, ni-śānta, which MW gives as allayed, tranquil and calm, and as a house or dwelling, so a few name lists also offer "calm". Most lists give Nishant as "dawn" or "end of night", which matches the main dictionary sense. Nishanth is the usual South Indian spelling, and Nisha, "night", is a related girls' name.
