Suvarna meaning
Suvarna (सुवर्णा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Of a beautiful colour, golden, bright; gold
Suvarna (सुवर्णा) joins su-, "good, beautiful", with varṇa, "colour". Monier-Williams gives suvarṇa as "of a good or beautiful colour, brilliant in hue, bright, golden" and, as a noun, "gold", noting that Sanskrit has fifty-seven words for it. The feminine Suvarnā is recorded as a daughter of Ikshvaku in the Mahabharata. Name lists give "gold" or "golden", which matches. Suvarna is used in Maharashtra and Karnataka, and the same word gives the shorter Swarna and Hindi sonā.
