Uzma meaning
Uzma (عظمیٰ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Greatest (feminine of aʿẓam)
Uzma (عظمیٰ) is Arabic ʿuẓmā, the feminine of the superlative aʿẓam, "greatest", from ʿaẓuma, which Lane's Lexicon glosses as to be or become great, big or large. The word ʿuẓmā itself does not occur in the Quran, but the related ʿaẓīm, "great", is frequent, and al-ʿAẓīm, "the Greatest", is a divine name heard at the close of the Throne Verse (2:255). Name lists give the same meaning, "greatest" or "supreme". The masculine form gives the boys' name Azam. In Urdu the name ends with a small alif written over the final letter, as in Bushra, the mark of the Arabic long ā.
