Yogeshwari meaning
Yogeshwari (योगेश्वरी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, यो, it is a Dhanu rashi name (Mula nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Mistress of yoga; a form of Durga; a goddess
Also used to mean: goddess of yoga, goddess durga
Yogeshwari (योगेश्वरी) is the feminine of yogeśvara, "lord or master of yoga", from yoga and īśvara, "lord". Monier-Williams gives yogeśvarī as a woman adept in yoga, a form of Durga and the name of a goddess. Krishna is called Yogeshwara in the Bhagavad Gita, and Yogeshwari is the matching title of the goddess. In Maharashtra she is honoured as Jogeshwari, the family goddess of many households, with a well-known temple at Ambajogai. Name lists give "goddess of yoga" or "Durga".
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Durga.
