Siya meaning
Siya (सिया) is a Hindu girl's name of Hindi origin.
Sita, Janaki; a Hindi form of the name Sita
Also used to mean: goddess sita, victory, light
Siya (सिया) is the Hindi siyā, which the Hindī Śabdasāgara derives from Sanskrit sītā and glosses as Sītā or Jānakī, Rāma's wife, quoting a line from Sūrdās; the short form siya appears on the same page. Monier-Williams gives sītā as "a furrow" and as the name of Janaka's daughter, so the name ultimately carries both senses. In devotional Hindi the divine couple is often named together as Siyā-Rām. Name lists usually give "Sita", and some add "victory" or "light". We could not find those two senses in the dictionaries, so they appear to be modern meanings that have grown up around the name. It is also spelled Siyaa.
