Shraddha meaning
Shraddha (श्रद्धा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Faith, trust, confidence, belief; loyalty; also wish, desire
Shraddha (श्रद्धा) is the Sanskrit śraddhā, "faith". Monier-Williams gives it as "faith, trust, confidence, trustfulness, faithfulness, belief" and "loyalty", and also as "wish, desire" or "longing". Faith was personified very early: Rigveda hymn 10.151 invokes Śraddhā as a goddess, and its author is named as Śraddhā Kāmāyanī. Later texts make her a daughter of Prajapati or of the Sun, or a daughter of Daksha and wife of Dharma, and one Purana calls her the mother of Kama. Indian name lists give Shraddha as "faith" or "devotion", matching the dictionary.
