Bhagyalakshmi meaning
Bhagyalakshmi (भाग्यलक्ष्मी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, भा, it is a Dhanu rashi name (Mula nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Lakshmi as goddess of good fortune: bhāgya + lakṣmī
Also used to mean: goddess of fortune, goddess of wealth
Bhagyalakshmi (भाग्यलक्ष्मी) joins Sanskrit bhāgya, "good fortune, happiness", with lakṣmī. Monier-Williams traces lakṣmī from "a mark, a sign" to "a good sign, good fortune, prosperity" and beauty, and as the name of the goddess of fortune and beauty, the wife of Vishnu. Bhagyalakshmi is Lakshmi in her role as bringer of good fortune, and name lists give it as "goddess of fortune" or "goddess of wealth". The name is used in South India; Purandara Dasa's Kannada song "Bhagyada Lakshmi Baramma" invites the goddess into the home and is still sung at Lakshmi puja.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Lakshmi.
