Arul (அருள்) is a Tamil boy's name, also used for girls.

Arul (அருள்) is the Tamil word aruḷ, grace. The Tamil Lexicon of the University of Madras gives it as grace, mercy, favour and benevolence, adding good deeds and a command or order; its supplement adds Śiva's consort as the embodiment of grace and, in everyday speech, a bright look on the face. Aruḷ is one of the great words of Tamil devotion and ethics, and the Tirukkuṟaḷ gives a whole chapter, Aruḷuṭaimai, "the possession of grace", to compassion for all living things. Name lists give "grace" or "blessing", in line with the dictionary. Arul is used on its own and in longer names such as Arulmozhi, Arulselvan and Arulnithi.
