Gracie meaning
Gracie is an international and Christian girl's name of Latin origin (English pet form of Grace).
Pet form of Grace: Latin gratia, favour, charm, loveliness, thanks
Gracie is the affectionate form of Grace, now also given as a full name. Grace comes from Latin grātia, which Lewis and Short's dictionary explains as favour, both the favour a person enjoys and the kindness one shows to others; it also means charm and loveliness, and thanks, as in gratias agere, "to give thanks". The three Graces of Roman myth were the Grātiae. In Christian use grace became the word for God's free favour, and Grace became one of the Christian virtue names. A well-known bearer was the English singer and comedian Gracie Fields. Its soft sound suits Indian surnames easily.
