Habiba meaning
Habiba (حبیبہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Beloved, loved, dear (feminine of ḥabīb)
Also used to mean: dear one
Habiba (حبیبہ) is the feminine of Arabic ḥabīb, from the root ḥ-b-b, "to love". Lane's lexicon defines ḥabīb as a person who is loved, beloved or liked, and lists the feminine ḥabība. The same root gives ḥubb, love, and maḥbūb, the beloved of Urdu poetry. Name lists give Habiba as "beloved" or "dear one", matching the dictionary. In early Islam, Ramla bint Abi Sufyan, a wife of the Prophet, was known as Umm Habiba, "mother of Habiba", after her daughter.
