Aziza meaning
Aziza (عزیزہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Mighty, powerful; rare, precious; in Urdu, dear and beloved
Aziza (عزیزہ) is the feminine of Aziz, Arabic ʿazīz, from the root ʿ-z-z. Lane's lexicon defines ʿazīz as mighty or powerful, and also as rare and hard to find, which is how the word came to mean precious. Al-ʿAzīz, "the Almighty", is one of the names of God. In Urdu the sense of value became affection: Platts' dictionary gives ʿazīz as dear, precious and beloved, and Indian families still call a loved one ʿazīz. Name lists give Aziza as "beloved" or "precious", which reflects this usage.
