Jace meaning
Jace is an international boy's name.
Modern short form of Jason, from Greek iaomai, "to heal"
Also used to mean: healer
Jace is a modern short form of Jason that became a first name in its own right in late twentieth-century America. Jason is the Greek Iasōn, which Strong's Concordance (G2394) derives from the verb iaomai, "to heal", reading it as "one who will heal"; that is why name lists give "healer". In Greek legend Jason led the Argonauts in search of the Golden Fleece, and in the Book of Acts a believer named Jason sheltered Paul and Silas in Thessalonica. Jace keeps that meaning in a single crisp syllable, easy to say with any Indian surname.
