Jayakrishnan meaning
Jayakrishnan (जयकृष्णन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Malayalam usage).
Victorious Krishna; jaya, 'victory', with Kṛṣṇa
Also used to mean: victory of Krishna
Jayakrishnan (जयकृष्णन, Malayalam ജയകൃഷ്ണൻ) joins Sanskrit jaya with Kṛṣṇa, the avatar of Vishnu, and adds the -an ending found in many Kerala names. Monier-Williams gives jaya as "conquering, winning" and, as a noun, "victory, triumph", and it lists Jayakṛṣṇa as the name of several Sanskrit authors. Name lists render the whole as "victorious Krishna" or "victory of Krishna", which follows the dictionary. Jayakrishna, without the Malayalam ending, is the same name. It is a long-established Malayali name, and one well-known bearer is fictional: Jayakrishnan, the hero of P. Padmarajan's 1987 film Thoovanathumbikal, played by Mohanlal.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Krishna.
