Vineet meaning
Vineet (विनीत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Trained, well-behaved, humble, modest; one who has subdued his passions
Vineet (विनीत) is the Sanskrit vinīta, the past participle of vi-nī, "to lead, to guide, to train". Monier-Williams gives it as tamed, trained and educated, well-behaved, humble and modest, and also as one who has mastered his passions; Wilson adds the sense "lovely, handsome". The same verb gives vinaya, "good conduct, humility", the source of the name Vinay. In Hindi vinīt still means polite and humble, and a letter may close with vinīt, "respectfully yours". Name lists give Vineet as "humble" or "modest", which matches the dictionary. In Kerala and Karnataka it is usually spelled Vineeth.
