Mrunal meaning
Mrunal (मृणाल) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Marathi usage).
The edible fibrous root of the lotus; a lotus fibre
Mrunal (मृणाल) is Sanskrit mṛṇāla, the stalk and fibrous root of the lotus. Monier-Williams describes it as the edible fibrous root of certain lotuses and also as the fine fibre of a water-lily's stalk. In classical Sanskrit poetry a woman's arms are often compared to lotus stalks for their slenderness and softness. The spelling Mrunal follows Marathi and Gujarati pronunciation; Bengali has the same word as Mrinal, usually for boys, as with the film-maker Mrinal Sen. A well-known bearer of this spelling is the actress Mrunal Thakur.
