Muntazir meaning
Muntazir (منتظر) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
One who waits for, expects or watches for someone
Muntazir (منتظر) is the Arabic muntaẓir, the active participle of intaẓara. Lane's lexicon explains intaẓarahu as he looked for him, expected him, awaited him, or watched for his coming, and intaẓara alone as to wait patiently and with deliberation. So the name means "one who waits" or "one who expects". Name lists give the same meaning. In Shia usage the related passive form al-Muntaẓar, "the awaited one", is a title of the awaited twelfth Imam.
