Naval meaning
Naval (नवल) is a Hindu boy's name of Hindi origin.
New, young, novel; rare, wonderful; beautiful
Naval (नवल) is a Hindi word for something new and fresh. Platts' Hindustani dictionary gives it as new, young or novel, and also rare, wonderful and beautiful, and as a noun, a young sapling. It belongs with Sanskrit nava, "new, fresh, young", the source of Naveen and many other names. In Braj and Hindi devotional poetry naval is often used of youthful beauty. Name lists give "new" or "wonder", matching the dictionary. The English word naval, "of the navy", is unrelated.
