Naved meaning
Naved (نوید) is a Muslim boy's name of Persian origin.
Good news, glad tidings; also a promise, a reward, a feast
Naved (نوید), also spelled Naveed or Navid, is the Persian word for good news. Steingass's dictionary gives it as good news or happy tidings, often with verbs meaning to bring, give or send, and lists further senses: a reward, a promise, and a feast or hospitality; nawed dādan means "to promise". A nuwed-gar is a bringer of good news. Name lists give Naved as "good news" or "glad tidings", which matches the dictionary. In Urdu, navīd is still a literary word for welcome news, and the name is given mainly in Muslim families in India and Pakistan.
