Razi meaning
Razi (رضی) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Pleased, content; also loving, a friend; obedient
Also used to mean: satisfied
Razi (رضی) is the Arabic raḍī, from raḍiya, "to be pleased", pronounced with a z in Urdu. Lane's lexicon gives it the sense of rāḍin, one who is pleased or content, and adds the senses loving, a friend, and obedient. In the Quran the prophet Zakariya asks God for an heir and prays, "make him, my Lord, pleasing" (raḍiyyā, 19:6). Name lists give Razi as "content" or "satisfied". The physician al-Rāzī (Rhazes) shares the spelling in English but his name means "from the city of Rayy", a different word.
