Subhan meaning
Subhan (سبحان) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Glorification; declaring God free of every imperfection
Also used to mean: glory, praise
Subhan (سبحان) is the Arabic subḥān, best known from the phrase subḥān Allāh, "glory be to God". Lane's lexicon explains it as a noun of glorification, tasbīḥ: to say subḥān Allāh is to declare God far removed from every imperfection and from any suggestion that He has an equal. The word opens Surah al-Isra, "Glory be to Him who took His servant by night" (17:1). Name lists give "glory" or "praise", in line with the dictionary.
