Jalal meaning
Jalal (جلال) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Greatness, majesty, dignity
Also used to mean: glory
Jalal (جلال) is Arabic jalāl, from the root j-l-l, "to be great". Lane's lexicon gives jalāl as greatness, majesty and dignity, and the verb jalla as being great in rank or being advanced in age and judgement. The Quran calls God dhū al-jalāli wa-l-ikrām, "Possessor of majesty and honour" (55:27). In India the word is familiar from Jalaluddin, "majesty of the faith", borne by the emperor Akbar and by the poet Rumi, and in Urdu jalāl also means a commanding, awe-inspiring presence. Name lists give "majesty" or "glory", which matches.
