Wahid meaning
Wahid (واحد) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
One; single, alone; al-Wāḥid, 'the One', is a name of God
Also used to mean: unique, the only one
Wahid (واحد) is the Arabic wāḥid, "one", from the root w-ḥ-d, which also gives tawḥīd, the oneness of God. Lane's lexicon defines it as one, the first of the numbers, and one alone, a single person or thing. Al-Wāḥid, "the One", is among the names of God in the Quran, "He is the One, the All-Prevailing" (13:16), and Wahid is also used as a short form of Abdul Wahid, "servant of the One". Waheed, from waḥīd, "unique, alone", is a related but separate name.
