Hafeez meaning
Hafeez (حفیظ) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
A keeper, preserver or guardian; al-Hafiz, God who preserves all things
Also used to mean: protector
Hafeez (حفیظ) is Arabic ḥafīẓ, from the same root as Hafiz, ḥ-f-ẓ, "to keep and guard". Lane's lexicon says ḥafīẓ means the same as ḥāfiẓ, a keeper or guardian, and explains al-Ḥafīẓ, one of the names of God, as the Preserver of everything, from whose care nothing escapes. The Quran says "my Lord is guardian over all things" (11:57). Hafeez is the usual Urdu spelling of this word and is a separate name from Hafiz, although parents often treat the two as one. In India it is used alone and in Abdul Hafeez.
