Razzaq meaning
Razzaq (رزاق) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
The Provider, giver of sustenance; an epithet of God
Also used to mean: sustainer
Razzaq (رزاق) is the Arabic razzāq, an intensive form from rizq, which Lane's lexicon defines as anything one benefits from, and especially the sustenance God sends to all living creatures. Lane gives al-Rāziq and al-Razzāq as epithets of God, the Giver of all provision, and adds that while rāziq can describe a person, razzāq is used of God alone. The Quran says "God is the Provider" (51:58). For this reason the full name is Abdul Razzaq, "servant of the Provider"; Razzaq or Razak on its own is a short form of it, used in South India.
