Mutahhar meaning
Mutahhar (مطہر) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Purified, cleansed from impurity
Mutahhar (مطہر) is the Arabic muṭahhar, the passive participle of ṭahhara, "to purify", from the root of ṭahāra, "purity". Lane's lexicon explains the word through its uses in the Quran: writings cleansed of impurity and falsehood, and spouses described as purified. The Quran also says that none touch the Book except al-muṭahharūn, the purified. Name lists give the meaning as "purified" or "pure", matching the dictionary. Motahar is the usual Bengali spelling, and Mutahar is another Indian form.
