Nazim meaning
Nazim (ناظم) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
An arranger or organiser; an administrator or governor; a poet
Nazim (ناظم) is the Arabic nāẓim, the one who does the action of naẓama, "to string pearls, to arrange". Platts's Urdu dictionary gives it as a composer, arranger, organiser or regulator; as an administrator, governor or the chief officer of a province; and, because verse is "strung" like pearls, as a composer of verses or poet. Name lists give Nazim as "arranger" or "organiser", matching the dictionary. The same root gives Nizam and Nizamuddin. The Turkish poet Nâzım Hikmet bore the Turkish form of the name.
