Rajnandini meaning
Rajnandini (राजनंदिनी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, रा, it is a Tula rashi name (Chitra nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
A king's daughter, princess (rājan, "king" + nandinī, "daughter")
Rajnandini (राजनंदिनी) joins two Sanskrit words. Rājan is a king, sovereign or chief, and nandinī, from the root nand, "to rejoice", is the usual word for a daughter in the Mahabharata and later texts. Monier-Williams also lists Nandinī as a name of Durgā and of the Ganges, and as the wish-granting cow of the sage Vasiṣṭha. Together the parts mean "a king's daughter", and name lists give Rajnandini as "princess". The compound is not itself in the dictionary, so it is best read from its parts.
