Samyukta meaning
Samyukta (संयुक्ता) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Joined together, united, combined; connected
Samyukta (संयुक्ता) is the feminine of Sanskrit saṃyukta, from saṃ- and yuj, "to yoke". Monier-Williams gives conjoined, joined together, combined and united, and also connected, married to, and endowed or furnished with; the feminine saṃyuktā is also the name of a poetic metre. Name lists give "united", the dictionary meaning. The name's best-known bearer is Samyukta, also called Sanyogita, daughter of King Jaichand of Kannauj, whose elopement with Prithviraj Chauhan is told in Chand Bardai's Prithviraj Raso; historians regard that story as largely legendary. Spellings include Sanyukta, Samyuktha and Sanjukta.
