We haven't confirmed a dictionary meaning for the name itself. The meaning above is how families commonly use it.
Sharvi (शर्वी) is a modern girls' name with no entry of its own in Monier-Williams or Apte. It is usually linked to Śarva, an ancient name of Rudra-Śiva as a god who strikes with arrows; Monier-Williams records Śarva and Śarvāṇī as a divine pair, and Śarvā as a name of Umā, Śiva's consort. Name lists give "Goddess Parvati", which follows that link, and "radiant", which we could not trace. We therefore treat the meaning as popular rather than sourced. Sharvani and Sharvari are older related names.
