Swapna meaning
Swapna (स्वप्ना) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
A dream; sleep
Swapna (स्वप्ना) comes from Sanskrit svapna, which Monier-Williams gives as "sleep, sleeping" and "dreaming, a dream", a sense found from the Rigveda onward; it also lists the less flattering "sleepiness" and "sloth". As a name, Swapna is understood as "dream", and name lists agree. The name is used in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bengal and Kerala, while Hindi speakers also use the everyday form Sapna. Swapnali, a Marathi name, comes from the same word.
