Swarna meaning
Swarna (स्वर्णा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Gold
Swarna (स्वर्णा) comes from Sanskrit svarṇa, which Monier-Williams gives simply as "gold". It is a shortened form of suvarṇa, literally "of a good colour", the older word that also gives the name Suvarna and, through Prakrit, the Hindi sonā. Name lists give "gold" or "golden", which matches. The name is used in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha and Bengal, and it begins longer names such as Swarnalatha, "golden creeper".
