Tahmina meaning
Tahmina (تہمینہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Persian origin.
The name of the daughter of the king of Samangan, wife of Rustam and mother of Sohrab
Also used to mean: strong, brave
Tahmina (تہمینہ) is a name from the Shahnameh, Firdausi's Persian epic. Steingass's dictionary records it as the name of the daughter of the king of Samangan, who married the hero Rustam and became the mother of Sohrab, whose tragic fight with his unknowing father is one of the epic's best-known episodes. Steingass gives no separate meaning for the name. Name lists say "strong" or "brave"; that may come from tahm, "brave, warlike", listed on the same page, but the dictionary does not make the link.
