Tahoora meaning
Tahoora (طہورا) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Pure and purifying; that with which one cleanses
Also used to mean: chaste
Tahoora (طہورا) takes its form from the Quranic phrase sharāban ṭahūrā, "a pure drink", which the Lord gives the people of Paradise (76:21); the Quran also calls rain from the sky māʾan ṭahūrā, "pure water" (25:48). Lane's lexicon defines ṭahūr as a thing, such as water, with which one cleanses, and as an epithet meaning clean and cleansing, pure and purifying. The same root gives ṭahāra, purity, and the names Tahir and Tahira. Name lists give Tahoora as "pure".
