Nazifa meaning
Nazifa (نظیفہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Pure, clean; chaste
Nazifa (نظیفہ) is the feminine of Arabic naẓīf, from the root n-ẓ-f, "to be clean". Steingass's dictionary, which records the Arabic words used in Persian, defines naẓīf as pure or clean and gives the idiom naẓīf al-sarāwīl for a chaste person. The same root gives Urdu naẓāfat, "cleanliness". Name lists give Nazifa as "pure" or "chaste", which matches the dictionary. The name is used in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and among Indian Muslims, and Nazeef is the matching boys' name.
